Built for the first hour
Our unit features three resuscitation beds, dedicated triage, and examination cubicles to provide swift, efficient treatment. We work closely with EMS for seamless patient transfers, and we have on-site radiology plus access to a range of specialist doctors on call.

Arriving at our Emergency Unit
Emergency care is prioritised clinically, not by arrival time. Here is how the process works.
Triage
A trained triage nurse assesses you as soon as you arrive and assigns a clinical priority. The most critically ill and injured patients are seen first, which is why waiting times can vary.
Assessment and imaging
An emergency physician examines you and orders any tests needed. Because radiology is on site, x-rays, CT and ultrasound can be done without transferring you elsewhere.
Treatment or referral
You are treated in the unit, referred to a specialist on call, or admitted. If surgery is required, our theatre complex is in the same building.
Accounts and medical aid
Emergency treatment is never delayed by paperwork. Bring your ID and medical aid card if you have them — our admissions team will handle authorisation afterwards.
