Two interventional and general scope theatres kept apart from the main theatre complex, which takes a lot of the anxiety out of a scope.

Four orthopaedic theatres, used by our seven orthopaedic surgeons.

One theatre dedicated to neurosurgery.

Specialised Theatres

Two hybrid theatres for vascular and cardiac work, and a theatre built around the Da Vinci robot.

Two theatres equipped for endoscopic, minimally invasive and robotic cardiothoracic procedures.

Urology Scope Theatre

A theatre bed with access to the patient from every side, which makes scope work quicker and more accurate.

Robotics

The Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System

JSH has a Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, used for general, urology and cardiothoracic surgery. For the procedures it suits, robotic surgery gives better margin rates, better functional outcomes and fewer complications than the conventional alternatives.

With it we offer the full range of treatment for prostate cancer, and for other urology, general surgery and cardiothoracic cases where the robot is the right tool.

Imaging inside the operating room

The hybrid theatres bring diagnostic imaging and cardiac catheterisation into the theatre itself. Cardiologists, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, anaesthetists and radiologists work in one room with a three-dimensional view of exactly where the surgery is needed.
